Which Wedding Dress Silhouette Will You Choose?

You have your budget, your timeline and everything in between. You tell yourself: “It’s time to choose a wedding dress.”  Where do you start? How do you choose?

The answer is simple. It’s just a matter of which style speaks to you. Would you like a sheath gown or an A-line gown? Or how about a mermaid gown to show off those curves?

If you’re wondering what the differences are amongst all of those options, then we’ve got you covered. Here are the six main silhouettes you can choose from:

SHEATH
The sheath dress is considered the most casual of all silhouettes. The dress is fitted perfectly to the wearer’s torso and hips while the rest of the dress falls vertically to the floor.

EMPIRE WAIST GOWN
In this style, the hemline starts from below the bust. The fabric then flows freely to the ground to disguise the hips. But truth be told, we think you’ll look good in anything you try.

MERMAID GOWN
The mermaid gown is form fitted and will show off your hourglass figure. The only time the dress flares is at the knee to give the wearer room to move her feet.

TRUMPET GOWN
With this gown, the skirt begins to spread below the hips. This gives the dress a trumpet or bell-like shape. It’s a nice compromise between the empire waist and the mermaid gown.

A-LINE GOWN
The A-Line gown hugs the torso of its wearer. The skirt then flares out at the waistline to give the dress the shape of - surprise - an ‘A’.

BALL GOWN
Think Cinderella but without the glass slipper. Ball gowns have a fitted bodice and a full skirt. If you're self conscious, the skirt is said to balance out proportions for brides with rather large chests.

Now that you have all the notes, head over to our Facebook or Instagram page and tell us which one you’ve chosen.
